MCD201 -SACD/CD Player

The MCD201 will play your CDs, CD-R, CD-RW, SACD and MP3. Utilizing a purpose-designed transport that spins CDs at 4 times normal read speed and SACD discs at 2 times normal read speed gives the laser multiple chances to extract and refocus through imperfect discs resulting in fewer errors. The MCD201 gives new life to many previously unplayable discs.

A unique feature is a precision analog volume control on both the front panel and remote that allows direct connection to a power amplifier for a CD player only system. An amplifier and speakers are all that is needed with the MCD201! Both balanced and unbalanced variable outputs swing up to 6 volts to effortlessly drive any power amp directly.

McIntosh MS300 is all about music accessibility. With 300 GB of hard drive storage, it can hold well over 800 CD's at full sound quality, through lossless compression. Alternate selecton of the MP-3 compression system allow the MS300 to hold up to 50,000 songs with very good quality. Access to this music library is simple with the included wireless keyboard or handheld remote control and navigable with well thought-out on-screen menus. Music files can be streamed over a home network to remote locations on Ethernet enabled devices throughout the house. Lossless recording can be mixed with compressed recording for the storage of primary or background music. Album cover art is supplied by the Gracenote® database for most popular recordings.
