TDAI 2200

The TDAI 2200 standard version of the compact 2 x 200W digital control center can be expanded with analog input module and the outstanding Room Perfect room correction system.

The TDAI 2200 is a fully digital amplifier from Lyngdorf based on the experience gained during the design of the new Millennium platform. The TDAI 2200 is much more than an amplifier, it is a complete digital signal processing control center for designing advanced audio systems based around active loudspeakers. Active meaning use of active cross-overs instead of ordinary passive filters.

And don't let the actual size of the product deceive you. The compact design of the TDAI 2200 features a powerful amplifier capable of driving difficult loudspeaker loads effortlessly. Also integrated within is a DSP section with equalization and correction possibilities for speaker position and delay, combined with extreme versatility with regard to processing, making this amplifier an obvious choice for the critical audiophile.

DPA-1

The DPA-1 is a true digital preamplifier from Lyngdorf incorporating the innovative RoomPerfect room correction technology that allows you to access to the real sound of your audio system.

The DPA-1 digital pre-amplifier is much more than a pre-amplifier with room correction: It is also a complete digital signal processing control center for designing advanced loudspeaker set-ups.

To ensure maximum compatibility and easy connection the DPA-1 offers both single ended and balanced inputs/outputs. So, connect a source, analog or digital, and hook it up to your and power amplifier(s) - and you are done!

The RoomPerfect room correction technology in the DPA-1 pre-amplifier effectively removes the room from the "good sound" equation. The technology used to do this simply represents state-of-the-art within room correction. And test results from all over the world confirm that it also works perfectly in "real life".

It works and makes a world of difference - but how is it to operate? Well, even though this is the most sophisticated room correction system in the market it is very simple to use. RP-1

The RP-1 is a room correction processor that can be inserted in any conventional pre-/power amplifier set up. This is the simplest way of removing room-generated anomalies and the fastest way to improve the performance of analogue audio system

The effect of the RP-1 "Black Box" is magical - however, there is nothing mysterious about why it is so efficient. The "Black Box" simply introduces the world patented RoomPerfect room correction technology to improve the sound in analogue audio systems. In essence, the "Black Box" will improve sound reproduction in any audio system, from basic to very high-end set-ups.

To ensure maximum compatibility and easy connection the RP-1 offers both single ended and balanced inputs/outputs. So, select single ended or balanced in the RP-1 menu and connect it between your pre- and power amplifier - or via a tape loop on your integrated amplifier and you are done!

What is RoomPerfect?

You may be the master of your home but you are a slave to room acoustics. The listening room has a huge impact on the final quality of music replay. Once your precious audio system has transformed the electrical signal into audible sound waves you are no longer in control and the music you hear is subject to the strict physical laws of acoustics.

The room size, shape, walls and furnishings all play their part. The distance between the loudspeakers and your ears is an acoustic minefield simply because all the sound reflections from your room makes even a short distance very dangerous and totally unpredictable. The music will undergo dramatic sound coloration - frequency changes - enforced by the room acoustics. What's for certain is that what you will finally hear is far from perfect.

Hard surfaces like walls and windows will reflect and reinforce sound, whereas soft furniture and carpets will absorb and dampen sound - all at different frequencies. Room resonances interfere with the bass so that deep notes will be strongly emphasised in some places and disappear in other parts of the room. If you imagine the original music as the flat topographical profile of Denmark it will actually look like a profile of the Himalayas in your listening position.

Room acoustics are based on inevitable physical laws just like gravity (and try to avoid that!). Some try to minimize coloration by placing the speakers well away from walls to obtain a smooth bass response. But that will severely affect the timing and precision of the bass. So, damping one room problem will just magnify another one.
